Well they films were better than most book to film interpretations. Also only a small portion of his books were made into films. I do have a few books of his but i would recomend Dream Catcher and Duma Key and they would be really easy to find in your local library

I think Stephen King is a pretty darn good author, and my favorite one at this moment. The only books I've read from him though are Misery, Salem's Lot, several short stories from his novel, "Just After Sunset," and a bit of his book, On Writing.

I also saw the film of Misery itself, and thought while it could've been better. It was at least decent and fun to watch a bit. If only they kept it more real to the actual novel.

It's irritating when directors don't protray a film close enough to the book, and they always seem to do it.
I haven't seen any of the films made out of Stephen King's books, but I expect they're just like all the other book-film adaptations..

You should actually see his film, It. Its very creepy in a way. I never actually finished the whole book, but it sounds like from other people that it didn't quite match up to the book. Anyway, its still very entertaining to watch.

You'd be very surprised. I've picked up some great books in charity shops for next to nothing.

I’m about half-way through ‘Misery’ now, and I’m really liking it. It’s taking me ages to read because, well, school is closing in on all sides at the moment, I’m finding it hard to breathe! But Stephen King truly is a gifted writer. Perhaps a bit messed-up though…?
